Porcine pancreatic elastase
Chromatographically prepared from the euglobin fraction of porcine pancreas by the method of Lewis et al. 1 then twice crystallized. Supplied as a salt free lyophilized powder that is free of trypsin and chymotrypsin. 95percent pure by SDS-PAGE. Reconstitute with 0.05M Na Acetate 0.1M NaCl pH 5.0 to 1 mg/ml or desired concentration, aliquot and freeze remaining portion. Assay: 5-10 ug in 0.1M Tris pH 8.8 at 37 C containing 0.2mM Suc-Al3-pNA.
