Human vitronectin total antigen assay ELISA kit

The measurement of total human vitronectin antigen is easily performed with this 96 well strip format ELISA kit. The kit employs an antibody sandwich assay to determine the levels of this extracellular matrix protein in a variety of biological systems. Using this assay, values for plasma vitronectin in normal individuals were determined to be 127.5 +/- 13.1 ug/ml 1. Vascular samples from the saphenous vein, mammary artery, and human adipose tissue were also assayed for vitronectin, with values ranging from 5-40 ug/mg.
